Warehouse Person Lead- 12 hour shift- M-F- 7 am-3pm (Occasional Weekends)- Pay is based on experience.

About the role

This position is responsible for directing the warehouse function and operation. It involves overseeing warehouse personnel, managing work schedules, monitoring material movement, and ensuring accurate shipments.

Responsibilities

• Directs warehouse personnel, scheduling manpower levels and department work schedules, aligned with the operation needs as well as with the Warehouse Manager.
• Maintains accurate movements of products and materials, ensuring they are reflected correctly in the system.
• Coordinates and communicates activity between oncoming shifts to ensure smooth transitions of duties.
• Communicates personnel and safety issues with the Supervisor and assists with follow-up.
• Monitors shipment accuracy, tracking over/under shipments, and validates product quality during preparation and loading.
• Reports and corrects shipment discrepancies.
• Trains departmental personnel in warehouse procedures.
• Ensures safe operations with the Department, including infrastructure, equipment, and product.
• May act on behalf of the manager in their absence.
• Follows and participates in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinates and executes warehouse organization efforts, adhering to SQF standards, ensuring daily sanitation activities are completed and documented.
• Participates in cycle counts and physical inventory processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience and successful completion of Material Handler I, Material Attendant I, Material Handler III skills assessments.

Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, speak effectively, perform calculations, and interpret diagrams. OSHA approved forklift and clamp truck certification, CPR/First-Aid certified.
