Physical Requirements
- Seeing: Must be able to read and understand pick sheets.
- Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers and customers.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in person.
- Reading/Data Analysis: Ability to read and analyze data on a computer screen and in printed materials.
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must be able to stand for long periods, to walk; mobility between warehouse and office to contact supervisors and co-workers when needed.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel to perform job duties.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds occasionally.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in an operational environment, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment movement when applicable.
- Safety Requirements: Must comply with all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) when in operational areas.
Job Summary
The Order Selector is responsible for filling customers' grocery orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Order Selector is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
Essential Job Functions
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is shipped.
- Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms.
- Tag or mark orders as requested.
- Repack orders when necessary.
- Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Stock product in pick slots.
- Conduct physical inventories as required.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Absorb and assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
- Meet company standards for productivity.
- Operate powered lift trucks in performance of order selecting duties when required.
- Conduct safety inspections on any equipment used.
- Used of hand-held computers / scanners and voice-enabled computers.
