Warehouse Order Picker

About the role

Join Plumbers Supply Co, a longstanding family-owned business with over 105 years of service, as a warehouse associate at our branch in Indianapolis.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and prepare orders using an RF Scanner, ensuring order accuracy.
• Read customer orders and retrieve items from warehouse racks using barcodes and serial numbers.
• Update inventory in ERP system after each item is picked.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment for all stakeholders.
• Operate heavy equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Customer service focus with strong communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and reliability.
• Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated to learn and grow within the role.
• Stamina to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally more with or without accommodation.
• Physical ability to perform various warehouse tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, etc.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.
