About the role
Responsible for the handling and processing of warehouse pick orders, transporting inventory, and maintaining stock in a fast-paced, safety-focused warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
- Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate distribution functions.
- Operate a powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload and load trucks.
- Pull and stage orders for auditing and shipping teams.
- Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and ensure forklifts are operated safely and efficiently.
- Ensure damaged product is reported and delivered to the proper department for rework.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Skilled forklift and reach truck operator (Raymond preferred).
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Provide accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with others on a team.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
- Complete moderately repetitive tasks.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
- 6 months or more experience working in shipping or receiving (preferred).
- Forklift Certification (required).
- Basic computer skills, including use of RF scanner.
Physical Activities
- Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; and grip with hand or fingers.
- Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; push or pull; sit; bend or twist; stoop or crouch; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension; activate foot control.
- Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.; stand; walk; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; use upper extremities.
- Must continually lift or move 10 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with occasional accurate depth perception and distance viewing.
- Specific hearing abilities required include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70 dB with or without assistance.
