Warehouse Operator - Urgent Need (Entry Level)

About the Role

This entry-level Warehouse Operator position is responsible for activities related to the receipt, shipment, movement, manufacture, or control of raw materials, product, recyclable materials, and waste. Operates equipment and machinery as needed. This is a contract role based in Zelienople, PA, with a standard 1st shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities related to the receipt, shipment, movement, manufacture, or control of raw materials, product, recyclable materials, and waste
• Operate equipment and machinery when necessary
• Prioritize work based on customer needs in a team environment
• Prepare and maintain a variety of records and documents as required
• Document raw materials inventories
• Foster continuous improvement in training and all other areas of team performance
• Integrate Quality Systems in all functions and activities
• Maintain Inventory Record Accuracy at an acceptable level to support the Manufacturing facility
• Handle all storeroom functions and inventory control
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of basic use of data collection devices
• Understanding of transactional data within an MRP system as it relates to inventory movements

Additional Desirable Skills

• Adequate math skills
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend specifications, procedures, and use measuring devices and tools
• Ability to successfully pass training and licensing requirements of federal or local regulatory programs, if required
• Ability to develop skills at an acceptable rate
• Mechanical ability and familiarity with hand tools and facility equipment
• Ability to prepare and maintain appropriate documentation related to Receipt, Transfer, and Shipment of products as required
• Demonstrate a high level of motivation to support overall team objectives

Pay & Schedule

• Pay range: $16–$20/hr
• 1st Shift, 7:30am – 4pm
• 40 hours per week
• 12-month contract duration

Physical Demands

Employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, walk, and stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods. May occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs.
