About the role
Selects products from inventory and assembles, packs, and transports to staging areas for shipment. Works in freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments, maintaining productivity standards.
Responsibilities
- Works safely, accurately, and meets productivity goals.
- Follows essential selection pick path, selects product, correctly labels, and stages product on pallet.
- Loads and unloads product deliveries as required.
- Records necessary item information into Warehouse Management System (WMS) or applicable inventory system.
- Maintains accurate records of shortages and reports them to Supervisor.
- Stacks product on pallet with heavier items on bottom and lighter on top to prevent damage to product.
- Delivers stacked pallets to assigned area on loading dock.
- Sets shrink wrap for delivery.
- Works effectively with Supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink and inventory control.
- Reports any unfixable/unsafe issues to supervisor.
- Operates forklifts and pallet jacks safely and enforces safety rules.
- Maintains material handling equipment and reports repair needs to supervisor.
- Uses warehouse computers and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Complies with company policies and applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Cross-trains in other warehouse functions and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
- Material handling equipment certification or ability to obtain.
