Warehouse Operations Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a strong operational leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced warehouse and sheet metal fabrication environment. This individual will drive productivity, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations and sheet metal fabrication activities.
• Ensure employees are properly trained in sheet metal fabrication techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Plan and manage workflow, production schedules, and operational goals while maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives including Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and standardized work.
• Oversee inventory processes including raw sheet metal materials (steel, aluminum, galvanized), receiving, storage, and tracking.
• Promote safe operation of fabrication equipment and proper handling of sheet metal materials.
• Maintain a strong culture of safety awareness in both warehouse and fabrication areas.
• Address performance issues while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical construction operations.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal processes including cutting, forming, assembly, and installation readiness.
• Working knowledge of Lean principles including 5S and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience managing manpower allocation and production productivity.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and shop safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SMACNA standards and sheet metal specifications.
• Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory/WMS systems.
• Exposure to CNC programming or automated fabrication equipment is a plus.

Pay

$30–36 per hour.
