Warehouse Operations Manager

About the role

Würth Wood Group is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the distribution operation at its Raleigh, NC branch (4213 Poole Rd). The role oversees a team of 11 warehouse associates, CDL delivery drivers, and tint lab associates, ensuring same‑day shipment, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and hands‑on leadership across inbound, outbound, and color‑lab operations. The branch uses Agility 360 WMS alongside a manual pick‑ticket system.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and schedule work hours to support a flexible operations schedule while maintaining budgeted headcount and hours control.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, and safety regulations.
• Provide 100% customer satisfaction through same‑day shipment, accuracy, proper packaging, and efficient transportation modes.
• Manage warehouse assets including inventory accuracy, daily inventory cycle counts, and equipment/facility maintenance.
• Ensure employee training and adherence to Würth Baer Supply’s processes for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and put‑away.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations: receiving material, stocking, picking and packing outbound orders.
• Ensure DOT compliance for fleet and equipment.
• Follow established SOPs for daily operations.
• Conduct weekly benchmarking and use performance reports to set goals and measure results.
• Communicate timely with sales and customer service representatives.
• Perform daily cleaning of the warehouse.
• Plan daily workloads to ship orders received by 4:00 pm the same day (or per customer schedule), prioritize will‑call orders, and aim for a zero‑defect policy.
• Set standards for warehouse personnel to drive a customer‑focused environment.
• Promote expectations for quality customer service and timely task completion, including maintaining inventory accuracy of 98% or higher.
• Establish daily communication with Sales Managers to discuss customer issues.
• Schedule
