Warehouse Operations Manager

About the role

The Warehouse Operations Manager coordinates, directs, and manages all activities for the warehouse operations, ensuring proficiency across all areas of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and ensures the proper use of the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for sales, purchase receipt, shipping, and re-distribution requirements.
• Analyzes warehouse workload to estimate worker hours and creates schedules that meet internal and external needs for Receiving, Warehouse, Shipping, and Dealers.
• Interfaces with other departments to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve employee efficiency, equipment performance, and quality of services.
• Adapts warehouse processes and configuration to evolving product lines and technology (WMS).
• Suggests changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase department efficiency.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving them.
• Oversees proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Ensures the accuracy and quality of information on all warehouse operations documents.
• Works with Warehouse Operations Leads to balance workflow on a daily basis.
• Ensures proficiency and proper training of all warehouse operations employees.
• Strives to keep costs within budget and monitors revenues/expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Manages proper documentation for all inventory adjustments.
• Works within semi-manual inventory processes while ensuring the accuracy of parts inventory in the warehouse.
• Directly responsible for the accuracy of parts inventory and management of bi-annual inventory counts.
• Knowledgeable in 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Knowledgeable in INCOTERMS and ability to generate shipping documentation (Colli List / BOL).
• Directly manages the Warehouse Operations Lead (1) and Warehouse Associates (4-6).
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Warehouse Operations team.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to 8 or more years.
• Proficiency in working collaboratively across departments to achieve common goals.
• Openness to change and development, with a drive to learn and develop new skills.
• Ability to make comprehensible decisions within a reasonable timeframe and take responsibility for them.

Pay

$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year.
