Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Hagerstown, MD. Warehouse associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products handled include computers and related equipment. Roles support distribution across the US.

Pay

$21.00 per hour, paid weekly.

Schedule

First Shift (A): Sunday–Tuesday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, every other Wednesday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Operate reach trucks, forklifts, cherry/order pickers, and automated packing systems
  • Pick and pack products accurately, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
  • Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
  • Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid forklift operator’s license or certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse environment
  • Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
  • High level of accuracy, even under pressure
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must follow health and safety methods
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
