Warehouse Manager, Stuart

About the role

The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily functions of the shipping department, including managing personnel, coordinating orders, and ensuring compliance with company SOPs and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain budgetary guidelines for the Shipping Department and warehouse personnel
• Hold regular meetings with all departments to evaluate performance and discuss ideas
• Create acceptable performance standards for personnel and mentor them to exceed expectations
• Coordinate with Commodity Management, PTC Logistics, and Client Services for inbound and outbound orders
• Schedule and train personnel for daily product movements
• Coordinate loads, fulfill orders, and review ship and receiving lists
• Work with Quality Control and Food Safety Manager to ensure procedures are followed
• Communicate with Fresh Food Production Supervisor for inbound and outbound shipments
• Ensure accurate inventory tracking and address inventory issues
• Supervise forklift operators and dock workers
• Prepare and maintain accurate BOLs, receiving tickets, and driver check-in/out sheets
• Maintain facility cleanliness and adhere to GMPs, OSHA standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with HR for training development and implementation
• Guide warehouse staff towards achieving warehouse objectives
• Ensure 100% fulfillment of Sales Orders
• Create efficient staff schedules to cover outbound, inbound, and inventory management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in compliance and/or safety training
• Knowledge of DOT state and federal requirements, policies, and procedures
• Ability to learn and use transportation software systems
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office)
• Industry-specific computer skills (Famous)
• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Preferred but not necessary: Knowledge of Spanish language
