About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic promotions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s guest benefits and managing associates
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately, maintaining accurate records
- Recruit, train, and supervise associates, ensuring they meet performance standards
- Schedule and manage staff, ensuring optimal guest service and compliance with policies
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate counts and proper labeling
- Ensure store cleanliness and organize merchandise, fulfilling customer orders
- Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention, reporting incidents promptly
- Lead the team in achieving sales and profit targets, adhering to company policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 1 year of retail management experience, 3 years of retail sales or management experience preferred
- Video game knowledge preferred
