About the role

The Warehouse Manager / Delivery Leadership Associate role at Room & Board is designed for a passionate delivery/logistics leader who brings a confident, people-first, and customer-centric leadership style. Reporting to and partnering with the Delivery Market Manager, this role oversees a team of 17 full-service delivery professionals in the greater Boston area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of 17 delivery professionals, fostering a career-oriented and engaged team.
  • Develop and support a high-performing team through career development and personal growth.
  • Communicate with clarity and intention, aligning the team during moments of change, coaching, or hands-on collaboration.
  • Ensure a customer-centric and supportive leadership style, focusing on high standards and integrity.
  • Manage day-to-day operations while building long-term strategies, demonstrating agility and confidence.
  • Hold teams accountable, address issues promptly, and foster a culture of trust and high performance.

Requirements

  • Experience in delivery, logistics, transportation, warehouse, distribution, and/or retail operations with 3 to 5 years of effective leadership in leading and inspiring a team of service professionals, ideally in a customer-facing environment.
  • A strong background in delivery operations, including familiarity with DOT requirements, routing, fleet management, and day-to-day delivery workflows.
  • Demonstrated confidence, high standards when it comes to detail and organization, and a belief that your success is tied directly to the growth and development of the team you lead and how you treat others.
  • Exceptional communication skills — both verbal and written.
  • Prioritize effectively, maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and hold teams accountable.

Benefits

Room & Board offers a competitive salary range of $76,000 - $96,000 per year, depending on experience and demonstrated leadership qualities. Additional benefits include:

Pay

$76,000 - $96,000 / year (depending on experience and demonstrated leadership qualities)

Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday, 6:30am-3:00pm, with additional hours and/or flexibility as needed to fulfill obligations of the role.
