Primary Responsibilities
- Performs repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities.
- Performs general electrical and/or repairs of and various equipment on company premises.
- Conducts periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
- Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.
- Prepares for operations by obtaining work schedule and daily production paperwork.
- Performs daily safety checks.
- Performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.
- Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies the facilities, buildings, and the grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps maintenance area orderly and clean as required.
- Secures all equipment and completes all necessary reports and paperwork at the end of the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift, carry, and position up to 30 lbs.
- Frequently lift, carry, and position up to 65 lbs.
- Occasionally lift, carry, and position up to 100 lbs.
Compensation
Pay is $19.50 an hour.
