Warehouse/Maintenance Material Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Materials Coordinator to support our manufacturing operations by coordinating the efficient flow of materials, products, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of maintenance parts, materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Purchase maintenance and operational materials, obtain competitive quotes, and coordinate deliveries or pickups.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, conduct audits, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Process inventory receipts, movements, and transactions using barcode scanners and business systems.
• Support maintenance, engineering, and production teams by ensuring materials are available to meet operational schedules.
• Monitor purchasing costs, manage returns and credits, and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.
• Maintain accurate records and utilize asset management and inventory software to track materials, equipment history, and work activities.
• Perform shipping of maintenance and operations parts and materials.

Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) years of experience in Inventory / Purchasing Field with High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience with procurement of maintenance parts and materials preferred.
• Prior experience with inventory management and cycle counts.
• Proficiency in data entry, Word and Excel programs required.
• Experience using FedEx software to create shipping labels and schedule deliveries.
• Experience operating forklifts is preferred, with the ability to obtain OFD forklift certification within two months of hire.
• Strong organizational skills and proven abilities in verbal and written communications required.

• Physical demands: Sit, stand for extended periods of time, walk, climb stairs, reach, lift up to 50 pounds.
