Warehouse Logistician

Duties

• Supports system fielding and test activities (drivers, personnel walking with systems, collecting data for failures and test incidents etc.)
• Drafts logistics documentation for review by senior logisticians (maintenance reports, reviews asset reporting of fielded systems, readiness reports etc.)
• Prepares and logs shipping documentation; files shipping documents and inventory listings of shipped items.
• Orders, records, and attains materials and/or equipment procured through Army Unit Supply.
• Documents and ships Warranty Repair Items.
• Maintains and inventory equipment and orders as necessary.
• Receives, documents, and distributes supplies.
• Supports New Equipment Issue to military units with inventory and accountability support.
• Receives, inventory, and issue equipment to units.

Required Skills & Experience

• Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least five (5) years of total experience in logistics required.

Travel

• Less than 20% travel is expected for this position.
• Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Physical Demands

• Be independently mobile.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
• Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
• Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks.
• Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
• Lift/push/pull objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.
• Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

• This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.
• Flexibility around core hours.
• Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
