Warehouse Lead, Weekend Shift
Shift Details: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM. Shift end time may vary based on business needs. Mandatory overtime.
About the role
The primary purpose of the Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations is to support the Warehouse Supervisor through either inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor and to facilitate effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff, in accordance with operational priorities. This role assists in coordination of receipt of shipments and scheduling of incoming trucks, as well as making internal appointments. It also involves delegating work among warehouse staff and producing reports on workforce productivity and quality. The Lead Associate communicates with customers outside the warehouse to address disruptions, provide updates on delivery timeframes, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment, including warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations performs and controls manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. This role ensures the efficient flow of products from receipt to shipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with training new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate
- Work closely with leadership team to ensure safety, productivity, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate housekeeping, inventory control, and compliance with all QRA and safety requirements and regulations
- Plan and coordinate daily workflow and assignments in alignment with warehouse priorities, alongside supervisors
- Lead team meetings, including safety and quality discussions
- Solve minor issues and address general employee inquiries
- Work in production as needed
Requirements
- 4+ years of related warehouse experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel knowledge) preferred
- Willingness and ability to operate warehouse equipment (PIT preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience leading a team and sharing feedback with employees preferred
- Prior knowledge working with WMS system

Pay
Anticipated hourly range: $27.00 - $37.80 per hour (includes shift differential). Bonus eligible: No.
