Warehouse Lead

About the Role

The Warehouse Lead at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts to ensure smooth and efficient operations while fostering a productive and positive work environment. This position involves coordination of orders and quality control and is ideal for someone who is safety conscious, adaptable, organized, and a team player.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving, storing, organizing, and record keeping of inventory within the warehouse
• Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders according to customer requirements and deadlines
• Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet company standards and customer expectations
• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for warehouse staff
• Monitor equipment performance and address any issues or malfunctions promptly. Schedule routine maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among warehouse staff
• Allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and space, to optimize productivity and meet operational goals
• Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance for management review and strategic planning
• Identify training needs and develop training programs or materials to address gaps in performance or competency
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum two years' related experience and/or training

Preferred Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift certification

Physical Demands

• Sedentary work, walking and standing are required only occasionally
• Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
• Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling
• Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
• Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound
• Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
• Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Pay: $22.11 - $24.87 / hour
