About the Role
The Warehouse Lead at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts to ensure smooth and efficient operations while fostering a productive and positive work environment. This position involves coordination of orders and quality control and is ideal for someone who is safety conscious, adaptable, organized, and a team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the receiving, storing, organizing, and record keeping of inventory within the warehouse
- Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders according to customer requirements and deadlines
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet company standards and customer expectations
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for warehouse staff
- Monitor equipment performance and address any issues or malfunctions promptly. Schedule routine maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among warehouse staff
- Allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and space, to optimize productivity and meet operational goals
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance for management review and strategic planning
- Identify training needs and develop training programs or materials to address gaps in performance or competency
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years' related experience and/or training
Preferred Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Forklift certification
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work, walking and standing are required only occasionally
- Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
- Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling
- Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound
- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
