About the role

The Warehouse Lead will moderate warehouse operations including loading/unloading trucks, stacking bags, handling product, palletizing, and document all completed work. This role involves interacting with peers and management to enhance warehouse operations and foster teamwork. Additionally, the role requires operating forklifts and hand carts.

Responsibilities

  • Document all completed work and record inventory data using scanners/computers.
  • Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of warehouse operations and promote teamwork.
  • Operate forklifts and hand carts.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Helps establish work schedules.
  • Safeguards the implementation of schedules and ensures jobs are completed properly.
  • Applies sound communication and motivational techniques in leading, supervising, coaching, and disciplining associates.
  • Provides input into performance evaluations for recommending promotions, wage increases, associate development, and terminations.
  • Ensures checking and unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments.
  • Completes all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Computes and analyzes daily, weekly production metrics.
  • Maintains product locator system.
  • Ensures the optimal utilization of space.
  • Rotates product as appropriate.
  • Ensures the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Aids in maintaining warehouse security.
  • Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and other applicable standards.
  • Attends warehouse planning meetings.
  • Communicates industry and brand knowledge to associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 3 years leadership and warehouse experience required.
  • SAP, WM Module experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and material handling equipment is essential.
  • Requires good supervisory and communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and coaching skills.
  • Ability to drive results.

Qualifications
