Warehouse Lead
About the role
The Warehouse Lead supports the Warehouse Manager & Supervisor in running the daily operations of a busy event design and production warehouse. This role helps ensure gear preparation, inventory flow, and event readiness are executed efficiently and safely. The Warehouse Lead plays a hands-on role in coordinating warehouse associates, tracking equipment, and supporting operational workflows, while helping implement process improvements under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager & Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager & Supervisor in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, including gear preparation, quality control, packing, and loading/unloading of event production equipment.
- Support workflows for pick, pack, pull, and staging to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and readiness for events.
- Help plan and prioritize daily tasks to meet event schedules and operational needs.
- Track and monitor inbound/outbound equipment, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.
- Maintain daily reports and operational notes, and provide timely support by answering the incoming SHOP support line.
- Support shipping, receiving, and truck loading/unloading operations to ensure timeliness and safety.
- Identify operational issues, escalate to Manager & Supervisor, and participate in problem-solving and process improvements.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards.
- Provide hands-on training, coaching, and day-to-day guidance to new and existing warehouse associates under the direction of the Warehouse Manager.
- Lead and support warehouse associates by fostering teamwork, effective communication, and consistent adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor team performance and communicate staffing, attendance, productivity, or performance concerns to the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor.
Requirements
- This position requires a High School Diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience driving 16'–24' box trucks.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in live event lighting production, entertainment technology, warehouse operations, or another fast-paced, related environment.
- Working knowledge of professional lighting equipment, including conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical power systems and temporary event power distribution is a plus.
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse material handling equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event and production schedules.

- $26-29/hr based on experience.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Ability to work in an environment that may be noisy, unheated, and not air conditioned
- Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
Schedule
Full Time non-exempt
In person work
Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Note: Requires schedule flexibility approximately once a month to accommodate an early start time of 5:30 AM or earlier.
