Warehouse Lead
Overview
Responsible for assisting in coordinating and monitoring activities engaged in the dock work activities. Lead the warehouse staff and ensure safety protocols are followed. Ensure daily needs are met for internal and external customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned dock area pertaining to quality, workmanship, productivity, recovery, sanitation and employee practices
- Meet daily shipments requirements to guarantee AIT’s service levels are achieved
- Maintain workflow of the dock assigned area and make adjustments when necessary
- Answer questions from dock employees pertaining processes and escalate to management as necessary
- Handle and lead all inventory control including data entry, cycle counts and client reporting updates
- Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location
- Communicate with management and other leads any problems or concerns with attendance, performance, and dock operations
- Train Warehouse personnel in dock processes, safety and assists personnel to improve procedures / performance
Qualifications
- Education Qualifications: High School Degree or equivalent Required
- Experience Qualifications: 5+ years Previous team lead or supervisor experience. Required 5+ years Warehouse operations experience. Required 3+ years Experience with MS Outlook and Excel Required 5+ years Experience with 3PL systems Preferred
- Preferred Skills And Abilities: Inventory and/or cycle count (Medium proficiency) communication skills. (Medium proficiency) Computer Skills (Medium proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Forklift Certification Required
