Responsibilities
- Truck Driver:
- Job site trash removal
- Tool & equipment pick up & deliveries
- Trailering
- Plowing (may require off-hours, overtime work)
- Warehouse/Yard/Office maintenance duties:
- Tool & equipment tracking
- Complete knowledge of the bar-coding system
- Help to facilitate getting tools & equipment to foremen/job sites upon request
- Follow up on lost tools
- Monitor condition of tools & note that in the system
- Roll the parking lots once a week with magnet
- Help to clean, organize, & maintain two "Receiving" bays
- Dispose of roofing tar, contact cement, oil-based paints, & all hazardous building materials legally
- Empty all office trash in both locations once a day & as needed
- Perform small maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, as needed, in all office buildings
- Maintain & clean snowplow(s) & gas grille
- Maintain & organize yard, parking areas, signs, receiving areas, dumpster, fences, racks, ladders, & tarps
- Manage toxic shed ? check for container leakage & secure/lock at end of day
- Test & maintain sign & building lights & timer
- Receive & assist in unloading deliveries, checking in orders, & distribute to project managers, job sites, or store in warehouse
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed & move materials & items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
- Mark materials with date received, job name, & Project Manager along with any other necessary identifying information
- Prepare return orders for mailing or pick up
- Return unneeded items whenever possible
- Keep list of job surplus items in warehouse & yard that can be utilized/taken (i.e. insulation, extra windows/doors, appliances, flooring) & email project managers on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
- Auxiliary duties:
- Aid in the counting of physical inventory monthly
- Includes updating the inventory within the computer system
- Company Vehicle Maintenance:
- Track company trailers & locations
- Wash fleet vehicles regularly
- Other Duties:
- Assist with daily shipping & receiving
- Wear the proper safety equipment for all duties
Requirements
- High school/trade school graduate or equivalent training & a minimum of three years' experience managing & operating tools, equipment, & warehouse
- OSHA 10 Certified
- Must be technologically savvy & have experience with computers, iPhones, & tool barcoding systems
- Ability to lift heavy objects & work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication & organizational skills
- Attention to detail & ability to follow instructions while retaining information
- Willingness to learn & take initiative
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, & pull 80 pounds
- Physically fit & able to perform various tasks that include standing, climbing, lifting, walking, reaching, crawling, etc.
- Ability to work in hard-to-reach places
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
