warehouse laborer/driver

About the role

At Distribution International you will deliver and unload finished products, parts and materials to customer locations and assist in the warehouse as needed to receive, store and distribute inventory.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs during physical loading and unloading of trucks.
• Provide excellent customer service; drivers are the company’s ambassadors and build customer relationships.
• Read, write and understand English and use navigation software.
• Shift may start between 5:30 am and 7:00 am.
• Assist in the warehouse approximately 20% of the time.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required for company vehicle operation.
• Minimum one year of verifiable commercial driving experience with vehicles between 10,001–26,000 lbs.
• Maintain an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle Record.
• Flexibility to perform warehouse duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements

Eighty percent of work activities are performed inside the cab of the commercial vehicle; the remainder are performed outdoors.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing and repetitive motions including bending, stooping, pushing and pulling; good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity and physical strength; lifting up to 50 lbs depending on specific duties.

Pay

$13.00 – $30.00 per hour. Actual offers depend on location, experience, skills and market data; variable compensation may also be offered.
