Warehouse Inventory Specialist
Salary range: $18–$22 per hour, based on experience.

As an Inventory Specialist, you will partner with businesses to achieve successful transitions in the workplace. You will provide valuable support services and functions to the Operations team, ensuring customer satisfaction, including specialized inventory management knowledge and skills as well as receiving, shipping, and moving a wide variety of office furniture within the warehouse for clients in our local market and surrounding areas. A fully qualified Inventory Specialist has demonstrated expertise in inventory techniques and information management, works independently or with minimal supervision, and coordinates small warehouse-related projects at the direction of others.
Responsibilities
- Ships and receives through inventory management and data entry a variety of commercial furniture and associated resources to support client projects.
- Maintains safety consciousness—wears appropriate PPE and identifies safety hazards.
- Identifies styles of furniture, parts and pieces, paint colors, laminates, and fabric styles.
- Coordinates and executes movement of product, pulling and/or putting product into racks.
- Assists supervisor in job responsibilities when asked/delegated.
- Communicates effectively with customers and peers.
- Maintains overall job quality and accuracy of their work and others.
- Inventories product into locations accurately.
- Stages and stores product minimizing damage.
- Maintains space utilization to maximize value to customer.
- Pulls outbound product accurately and timely.
- Manages check-off process for new product outbound.
- Reconciles receiving paperwork to Delivery Tickets.
- Manages crates movement in/out.
- Leads 1–4 person teams when job requires.
- Familiar with use of barcode scanner and Snaptracker inventory program.
Paperwork
- Adheres to necessary processes to ensure accurate records.
- Verifies own hours each day through ServiceTRAX—Approve My Time.
- Assists in documenting change and damage during the warehouse process.
- Understands and accurately completes customer’s paperwork when appropriate.
- Creates work orders in inventory systems—follows standard work best practices.
Initiative
- Demonstrates ability to work through active participation in daily responsibilities.
- Arrives to work on-time and in uniform at start of day.
- Actively seeks additional tasks upon completion of those assigned and performs to expectations of job.
- Volunteers to assist/cross-train in a positive manner with other Team Members.

Requirements
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks; attention to detail and ability to focus on a task.
- Must be able to distinguish colors; ability to lift 70 pounds.
- Ability to work on an elevated surface up to 25 feet above the ground.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Adequate math skills, including reading tape measure and counting.
- Comfortable working on a computer; barcode inventory experience preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with members at all levels and in a team environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in furniture warehouse work preferred or transferable mechanical skills.
- Good computer skills and ability to work with hand/power tools.
- Ability to read and write English and to read small print.
