About the role

Warehouse Handlers are a key part of getting a variety of products on time into the hands of our customers by building and loading correct orders onto the delivery trucks. Handlers hand pick and use equipment and materials to build customer orders.

Responsibilities

  • Build accurate, quality product orders and ensure they are secure for transport before loading into the truck for delivery.
  • Meet daily productivity requirements.
  • Receive and process inbound loads.
  • Count inventory and process breakage, damage, and loss (BD&L) for daily inventory counts.
  • Manually restock and replenish product and materials, ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation.
  • Operate industrial powered equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts following safety guidelines and standards.
  • Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with company safety and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.
  • Prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Prior experience using pallet jack or forklift preferred; ability to obtain certification upon hire is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Speaking: Constantly (investigates, negotiates, recommends, reports, etc.)
  • Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
  • Mobility: Frequent travel throughout Heartland Facility (walking in warehouse)
  • Bending/Squatting: Constantly (picking up product, moving product)
  • Lifting: Frequent—lift 50 lbs. or less (full cases of product)
  • Able to be certified on manual and powered pallet jacks or forklifts.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons.

Pay

$17 an hour
