About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Stand-Up Forklift Operator in Minster, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
  • Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
  • Handle daily paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Able to work within a diverse work environment.
  • Punctual and has a good attendance record.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work using health and safety methods.

Skills

  • Highly thorough and dependable.
  • Available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts.

  • Base pay: $23.00 per hour. 50% increase after 6 months and 1 year.

Pay

Weekly pay up to $26 per hour (including productivity incentives).

  • Base pay: $23.00 per hour.
  • 50% increase after 6 months and 1 year.

Schedule

Day shift: B: Wed-Sat 4:30am - 4:00pm OR B: Wed-Sat 5:30am - 5:00pm

  • 44-55 hours per week.
  • 11-hour shift.
  • 2-month schedule given in advance for family planning.
