About the role

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr. up to $19/hr. Hourly Full-Time (6:30am-2:30pm – Monday-Friday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials.
  • Reprints load tags / Stretch wraps products.
  • Locates and moves stock of products onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device for storage or shipment.
  • Continuously moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Lubricates fork truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • Ensures all shipping/warehouse paperwork ticket numbers are recorded accurately.
  • Completes pre-inspections and fills out forms.
  • Inspects bales and identifies damages and reports shortages or quality deficiencies.
  • Receives forklift drivers sign delivery receipts when truck is unloaded.
  • Help maintains a safe and orderly environment.
  • Other duties as directed

Qualification Requirements

  • Skilled & certified to drive forklift.
  • At least two (2) years previous forklift experience.
  • Possess basic computer skills and proficient user of our ERP system.
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting / carrying up to 25 pounds required with more frequent lifting/carrying of 1-20 pounds.
  • Rarely kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs.
  • Frequent hand/wrist work, keyboarding and mousing, power grasping, and constantly standing on feet for extended periods of time.

Work Environment

  • Protective glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as assigned by tasks.
  • The plant and warehouse areas can be chilly in the winter (above freezing) and hot in the summer (non-air conditioned).
  • The areas are generally clean of debris and clutter, but the manufacturing process generates a fair amount of corrugated dust.
  • Position may require overtime including possible weekends.
