Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Nashville, TN. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks
• Load, pick, pack, ship, receive, cycle count, and unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Support the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong technical aptitude including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to work both indoors and outside

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team
• Able to work within a diverse work environment
• Able to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Able to work within a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Able to work using health and safety methods
• Able to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Pay

Hourly Pay: $16.35 per hour

Schedule

First Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
