About the role

Warehouse Associates at Ryder work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. This role involves managing inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors using stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and a personal vehicle; ability to travel within the area approximately 25-50% of the day.
• Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and WMS systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Valid forklift operator’s license (certified).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and possess a good attendance record.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
