Responsibilities

  • Directs and coordinates associates to safely and efficiently perform operations.
  • Utilizes daily huddles to ensure proper communication of operating procedures and assignments.
  • Coordinates work assignments and ensures timely completion.
  • Assigns work to Inbound Warehouse Associates.
  • Communicates effectively with associates, host management, transportation partners, and FHI management.
  • Reports and reviews policy violations to management.
  • Coaches associates as needed.
  • Makes recommendations for hiring, promotions, and terminations.
  • Remains vigilant for potential safety threats and collaborates with management to address them.
  • Safeguards the workplace by conducting daily safety inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Ensures adherence to cleaning and debris-free standards.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are necessary for various interactions.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail are important.
  • The ability to work in a team environment is crucial.
  • The position requires a safety-sensitive work environment.
  • Physical demands include lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, squatting, handling heavy items, hearing, understanding, and distinguishing speech.

Qualifications

  • Education: While not strictly required, relevant experience and skills are valued.
  • Experience: Leadership, organization, problem-solving, and technical skills are essential.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Good verbal and written communication skills, willingness to work shifts, basic math skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow directions are necessary.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Respectful and courteous behavior towards colleagues, supervisors, and customers is expected.
