Warehouse Supervisor 3rd Shift
About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor is a key member of the leadership team for a brand new 300,000 sq foot facility. Key responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; employee scheduling, performance, training, recruiting and retention; sanitation, quality, safety, and environmental activities. The Warehouse Supervisor will work closely with the cross-functional teams, including Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Transportation, and Resupply, fulfilling all responsibilities in an organized and safe manner and in accordance with the company’s policies, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all aspects of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory and sanitation.
- Provide guidance, training and direction to warehouse support staff with a focus on development, succession and growth opportunities.
- Responsible for timely and accurate systematic transactions, including receipts, shipments, inventory and customer claims.
- Supervise overall accuracy throughout the distribution center activities, with emphasis on customer’s expectations; claims, returns and compliance fees.
- Plan, direct and coordinate distribution center activities within assigned shift and department.
- Ensure proper staffing and shift coverage along with proper shift handoff and collaboration.
- Achieve warehouse related KPIs, including inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, fill rate, order quality and accuracy, product rotation, traceability, warehouse and equipment utilization, warehouse efficiencies and compliance.
- Identify process improvements and cost savings opportunities.
- Develop and coach warehousing teams’ collective and individual capabilities, through proactively supporting recruiting, retention, training, communications, and performance management practices.
- Support and drive safety performance, including employee, building and food safety programs, training and initiatives.
- Adhere to company’s policies and procedures while supporting Saputo’s values and ensuring compliance.
- Support operational efficiency goals and objectives.
- Participate in cross-functional projects as needed.
- Support change and ensure sustainment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in Distribution or Supply Chain capacity.
- Health and Safety, and Workers Compensation compliance experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
- Prior experience with WMS system.
- SAP preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to successfully lead others through change.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highest level of organization with an ability to prioritize and pay attention to the details.
- Team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Adept at selecting, coaching, developing, engaging, and retaining a team of employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, computer-based applications and have WMS systems experience.
- Having SAP experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Up to 10% travel, ground and/or air transportation.
- Onboarding process will require significantly more travel to sites with less travel after site start up.

Pay
$73,000 - $85,000 Salary offers may be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
Schedule
Regular shift hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday PM through Friday AM (Supervisors are required to report for duty 30 minutes before to the start of their shift and remain on duty for 30 minutes after the end of their shift.)
