We seek a visionary, strategic, and hands-on Distribution Center Department Manager to shape the future of our brand and join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and direct the distribution center to ensure merchandise flows efficiently to our customers, leading Team Leaders and Team Members. You will be a key player in our supply chain operation, ensuring smooth operations for receiving, processing, storing, packing, and shipping merchandise.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team consisting of an Assistant Department Manager, Team Leader, Trainer, and other department employees.
  • Ensure operational excellence in all warehouse areas and efficient use of warehouse management systems.
  • Maintain processes and procedures to ensure safe, efficient, and organized warehouse operations.
  • Optimize staffing and efficiency levels to achieve accurate and timely movement and processing of product.
  • Assist in designing and implementing systems and processes to control costs in an evolving business environment.
  • Train new and assigned associates on essential job functions.
  • Motivate, coach, and train Team Leaders and Team Members, providing both informal and formal job performance feedback.
  • Address disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Ensure a safe workplace by following safety policies and procedures, including accountability for accident cost reduction and control.
  • Monitor work performance for compliance with company and department policies (attendance, punctuality, safety, production, etc.).
  • Participate in developing warehouse department policies and procedures, ensuring staff awareness and compliance.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and personnel management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards and regulations.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and late nights as required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience.
  • WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
  • PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) experience.
  • Associate’s degree.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking most of the time throughout the department and warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times; seldom required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
  • Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.

Schedule

Flexible: Monday–Friday, 2nd shift (early mornings and late nights as required).
