About the Role
Yellowstone Club’s Procurement department is seeking a Warehouse & Delivery Assistant for the upcoming Winter season (November – April). This role involves receiving, organizing, safeguarding, storing, and delivering daily shipments of inventories to ensure outstanding service for our members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Ensure outstanding guest service by greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining service standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
- Guarantee total guest satisfaction while displaying hospitality and professionalism at all times.
- Handle all guest transactions in a legal and ethical manner.
- Apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure environment for employees, members, and guests.
- In case of accidents or emergencies, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
- Foster a positive working environment by maintaining favorable relationships with all employees.
- Assist in receiving inventory and non-inventory items to ensure specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct.
- Clean the warehouse to maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
- Deliver a variety of items to Yellowstone Club recipients from internal or external sources.
- Drive vehicles (e.g., truck, van, forklift) to transport orders and materials to designated sites.
- Load and unload delivery trucks for receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
- Maintain delivery vehicles (e.g., checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning) to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain records (e.g., delivery logs) to document activities and provide reliable resource information.
- Transport items on both scheduled and unscheduled pickup and delivery routes.
- Work with warehouse staff to strategically organize and stage inventories, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct inventory counts and daily maintenance checks of delivery vehicles.
- Perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies and service standards.
- Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality, attendance, and consistency standards.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, and coworkers.
- Adhere to a clean and neat appearance at all times.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers, and directors.
- Perform work in a safe and high-quality manner.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential for long hours due to business demands.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/job-related coursework required.
- Previous work experience in a warehouse setting.
- Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to speak clearly and effectively with members, guests, coworkers, vendors, and other departments.
- Able to write clearly and legibly.
- Frequently required to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Constantly required to use hands and fingers to handle or lift items, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or reach.
- Visual acuity required for preparing and analyzing data, inspections, and operating machinery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial driving experience.
- Experience performing inventory counts through management systems.
Work Environment
The role is primarily performed in a climate-controlled environment, but may require working outside in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, or inclement weather. Driving in similar conditions may also be required.
