Warehouse Coordinator

About the role

The Warehouse Coordinator oversees all warehouse and dock operations and maintains safety on the dock. They supervise warehouse and dock personnel, manage workflow, and support the work therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse and dock operations, maintaining order and safety in the warehouse and dock for all items being loaded or unloaded.
• Serve as a backup for Production/General Supervisor, Production Assistant, expeditor, or Dispatcher.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Direct all incoming material to proper staging areas, ensuring saleable items are not discarded.
• Supervise and handle all baling operations.
• Oversee loading and unloading of all ARC trucks and bale trucks.
• Supervise beneficiaries assigned to work therapy in the warehouse and dock area.
• Conduct regular evaluations of employees, identifying performance strengths and areas of development, and recommend training as necessary.
• Prepare written warnings as needed.
• Support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Two (2) years transportation, warehouse, and/or loading dock experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
• Completion of Forklift Certification is required.

• Stooping: Under 1/3 of the time.
