Warehouse Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in unloading trucks and receiving shipments.
  • Verify shipments match orders and work with personnel to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain an organized inventory in the stockroom for easy accessibility.
  • Run errands and procure necessary parts as needed.
  • Handle shipping of urgent parts via FedEx when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline warehouse operations and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks such as replacing lighting fixtures and conducting general upkeep.
  • Schedule and oversee metal container pickups, ensuring timely replacements.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities, including backup power generators, forklifts, and fire pumps.
  • Manage scheduling and supervision of servicing and repairs to keep equipment in optimal condition.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to identify cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repair needs.
  • Collaborate with sub-contractors for building maintenance, pest control, HVAC, and plumbing requirements.
  • Aid sub-contractors during their visits to our premises.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with sub-contractors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in warehouse operations and logistics preferred.
  • Knowledge of fire protection and safety equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Pay

$29.00 - $35.00 / hourly. Actual starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location (where applicable), and market considerations.
