Key Responsibilities
- Aid in unloading trucks and receiving shipments.
- Verify shipments match orders and work with personnel to reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain an organized inventory in the stockroom for easy accessibility.
- Run errands and procure necessary parts as needed.
- Handle shipping of urgent parts via FedEx when necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to streamline warehouse operations and maintain an organized work environment.
- Perform various maintenance tasks such as replacing lighting fixtures and conducting general upkeep.
- Schedule and oversee metal container pickups, ensuring timely replacements.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities, including backup power generators, forklifts, and fire pumps.
- Manage scheduling and supervision of servicing and repairs to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repair needs.
- Collaborate with sub-contractors for building maintenance, pest control, HVAC, and plumbing requirements.
- Aid sub-contractors during their visits to our premises.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with sub-contractors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics preferred.
- Knowledge of fire protection and safety equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
