Warehouse Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to facilitate and execute day-to-day warehouse and logistics functions at GM Performance Power Units. This role supports the manufacturing, assembly, and development of our Formula 1 power unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily duties that include shipping, receiving, and material management.
- Verify documentation accuracy, including certificates of conformity, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
- Enter goods and documentation data accurately into the company’s ERP/WMS and Inventory Systems.
- Cook internal routing of received items to appropriate departments, work centers, or storage locations (e.g., Coordinating with Quality to perform extensive quality inspections).
- Operate forklifts to move material around the facility.
- Take inventory of materials shipped or received.
- Count, weigh, and store away materials received.
- Fill warehouse or shop orders (pick and pack, kitting activities) for parts to support manufacturing and assembly.
- Cook outbound transportation arrangements.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehousing and logistical processes and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience working within warehouse environment – receiving, inspection, put away, pick, pack, ship within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting the automotive/motorsports industry, including hands-on work in a parts room environment.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, ideally within motorsports or a high-performance or precision-engineering context.
- Deep understanding and experience with inventory control, traceability, internal logistics, and efficient material flow.
- Proficiency using handheld scanners, mobile devices and label printers.
- Proficiency with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems (Experience with IFS is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities are important for collaborating with various departments and addressing inventory or material issues.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by actively supporting team members and contributing to the organization’s overall success.
- Prior experience operating a forklift or the ability to pass a Forklift certification and the ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
