About the role
This position will be responsible for the daily warehouse operations at the distribution branches locations. You will help design warehouse layout, perform inventory audits and control, manage receiving and shipping, obtain freight quotes, coordinate shipments, and train personnel assigned to the warehouse area.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for all daily activities related to warehouse function, including shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and overall organization.
- Enter received product into Badger Meter's system.
- Report any damaged receiving goods to freight shipment companies to open claims and track these through resolution.
- Schedule outgoing freight shipments and coordinate with customers on shipment timing.
- Perform daily cycle counts and investigate discrepancies with quantities or bin locations; work with branch manager to plan for low inventory.
- Learn customer-specific specifications to correctly fulfill orders.
- Organize and maintain returned product and non-conformance inventory to accurately reflect counts and process through completion.
- Load/unload freight and/or packages from delivery/pickup vehicles; may require overtime to receive the last truck.
- Act as liaison between shipping staff, internal departments, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Arrange transportation schedules with carriers.
- Use appropriate packaging materials to ensure products/parts are properly packaged to prevent damage or loss.
- Complete pre-packaging and/or final packaging of customer orders.
Requirements
- High school degree/GED required.
- 0-1 years of related experience preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
