Warehouse Clerk - Seasonal 1st Shift

Location: Monroe Township, NJ. Temporary position.

About the role

As a warehouse clerk, you ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders for Barnes & Noble stores and dot com customers. You take pride in assuring orders are picked and packed correctly, minimizing quality issues, and consistently meeting or exceeding daily production goals in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety protocols and foster a safe work environment.
• Fill customer and store orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work on the warehouse floor in any area as needed, including regular lifting, pulling, and pushing of 10–35 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), and standing for long periods.
• Work with urgency and care to meet or exceed individual and department daily production goals.
• Follow all department best practices and procedures.
• Work in various warehouse areas based on business needs.
• Be flexible with schedule, especially during peak seasons.
• Assist new hires and department transfers with questions in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Communicate questions or concerns to booksellers and management positively.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely at all times.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills, as well as mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented and accurate.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Pay

Hourly rate of $17.00.
