Key Responsibilities
- Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain inventory records and assist in cycle counts and reconciliations
- Enter material movements and transactions in the inventory management system
- Cook with forklift operators and warehouse staff to ensure materials are staged, stored, and shipped correctly
- Verify inbound deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies
- Prepare and print labels, Bills of Lading (BOL), and other logistics documentation
- Maintain records of product codes, lot numbers, and storage locations
- Support organization of warehouse supplies, paperwork, and documentation files
- Maintain communication with external vendors, brokers, or customers through email and other electronic communication channels
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting
- Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives
Requirements
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required, 3-5 years' experience in a warehouse or transportation role preferred, Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) preferred
- Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, Excellent communication and collaboration skills, Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Experience with SAP, WMS, and TMS software, Understanding of warehouse safety and food safety procedures, Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in cold, hot, or fast-paced production and warehouse environments, both indoors and outdoors as needed throughout the shift
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Shipping Accuracy: Correct loading and documentation of outbound shipments
- Inventory Accuracy: Discrepancy rate between physical counts and system records
- Timeliness of Transactions: On-time entry of receipts, transfers, and shipments
- Document Accuracy: Error-free completion of shipping, receiving, and inventory paperwork
