Job Responsibilities
- Kitting Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm
- Pick Components: Retrieve individual items from warehouse locations based on work orders or kitting instructions.
- Verify Accuracy: Confirm part numbers, quantities, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness of each kit.
- Assemble Kits: Organize, package, wrap, and box components into complete kits following company standards.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory records, track materials, and locate items using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Quality Control: Inspect components for damage or defects prior to packaging.
- Maintain Workspace: Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Follow Procedures: Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and operational guidelines.
Receiving Responsibilities
- Receiving Schedule: 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Unload Trucks: safely unload pallets, cartons, and packages from incoming delivery trucks.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: use pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
- Verify Shipments: compare packing slips and shipping documents against purchase orders. Confirm correct item numbers, quantities, and descriptions. Report discrepancies such as shortages or overages.
- Inspect Goods: examine incoming inventory for damage, defects, or missing items. Document and report damaged merchandise according to company procedures.
- Update Inventory: accurately log received goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Use RF scanners, tablets, or other digital tools to track inventory. Ensure inventory data is current and accurate.
- Put-Away: transport products to designated storage areas, racks, or staging zones. Ensure proper labeling and placement for easy retrieval.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse or kitting experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse systems
- Ability to operate barcode scanners and other warehouse equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical Requirements: Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping. Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight. Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor. Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
