Warehouse Associate - Returns

About the role

The Returns Associate is responsible for processing returns from drivers, verifying returned items, and ensuring they are correctly categorized and redistributed. This role is ideal for dynamic, career-minded individuals looking for full-time employment with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Intake returns from drivers and open all boxes to verify returned items are correct and sold by the company
• Separate returns into “core,” “defect,” and “new” categories
• Apply account number stickers on cores and defects
• Redistribute new merchandise to other stores
• Enter each returned item into the computer system
• Assist the inside returns team in creating negative purchase orders
• Collaborate with salesmen and managers to resolve issues with customer returns
• Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Accurately follow written and verbal directions
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Effective time management and ability to work under pressure
• Regularly lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing 10–50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and occasionally sit, climb (ladders/stairs), or balance
• May be exposed to environmental conditions (e.g., temperature changes, narrow aisles)
• Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Open availability, flexibility to work various shifts and overtime
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse safety measures
• Ability to work well with staff and supervisors
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets as needed
