Warehouse Associate - Part Time Seasonal - 2nd Shift - $16.50 plus $1.50 an hour Shift Premium

Join us and help us create lifelong readers! We are currently in search of Part Time Seasonal Warehouse associates to help our facilities build book fairs for schools.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the production of book fairs by packing metal cases, boxes, and displays with books and non-book products, adhering to corporate processes and meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Show proficiency in packing all components and sub-components for all cases, boxes, and displays.
• Maintain accuracy and quality standards for the work performed.
• Ensure that all outbound cases, boxes, and displays are clean, safe, and in good condition.
• Process returned book fairs by unpacking metal cases, boxes, and displays, following corporate procedures and meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels on applicable product lines to ensure book fairs can be properly packed.
• Learn and demonstrate basic scanner proficiency, including item inquiries and requesting replenishment of pick locations.
• Pick and pack customer reorders and ensure your work area is neat, clean, safe, and organized at all times.
• Participate and assist in seasonal inventory production-line resets, Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, and Physical Inventory functions.
• Assist in conducting Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events.
• Handle merchandise carefully at all times.
• Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling display cases.
• Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards according to company standards.
• Operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as required by assigned work schedule and within company standards.
• Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers.
• Comply with drug and alcohol free policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Basic product scanner proficiency (ordering replenishment) with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and ability to get along with co-workers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English.
• Ability to tolerate work in a non-air conditioned environment.
• Accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
