Warehouse Associate/Material Handler & Driver

About the role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This role combines responsibilities across material handling, driving/delivery, and inventory control. The ideal candidate is experienced in warehouse environments, comfortable operating equipment such as sit-down forklifts, and confident using computer systems to track inventory and shipments.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse space
- Driving / Delivery
- Safely operate company vehicles, trucks, and trailers to deliver and pick up materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Transport construction materials and heavy equipment using flatbed trailers and 5th-wheel towing systems
- Secure loads in accordance with safety and DOT requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to job sites or customers
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections
- Inventory Control
- Track inventory levels and update systems in real time
- Investigate discrepancies and support inventory accuracy initiatives
- Equipment Operation
- Operate warehouse equipment including sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience hauling trailers, including flatbed trailers with 5th-wheel hitch systems
- Experience transporting heavy equipment, construction materials, or industrial machinery
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and warehouse procedures
- Basic computer skills (inventory systems, data entry, email, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with construction materials, tools, or industrial equipment
- CDL preferred but not required
- Knowledge of proper load securement, trailer safety, and heavy equipment transportation
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and documentation
- Understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) materials and industry practices is a strong plus
