Warehouse Associate - Internet Shipper

Responsibilities

• Weighs and packs various sized products to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Determines method of shipment utilizing software.
• Creates shipping labels using multiple ship software platforms.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Maintains minimum daily shipping output expectations.
• Complies with all quality standards and policies.
• Assembles cardboard containers for shipping.
• Properly fills containers with void fill to protect product.
• Examines shipment to ensure shipment specifications are met.
• Affords assistance in store/warehouse tasks as assigned.
• Maintains and promotes workplace safety.
• Secures and transfers cash or other assets.

Qualifications

• Ability to read product identification quickly and accurately.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements.
• Frequently lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10 - 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/ or stairs) or balance.
• May be subject to environmental conditions.
• Attention to detail.
• Great communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors.
• Must have an open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and over time.
• 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous internet shipping experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse.
• Experience working with carrier ship methods to ship small parcel packages.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed preferred.
• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
