Warehouse Associate Immediately Hiring

About the role

Ryder is seeking a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associate in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This position involves operating powered industrial trucks, loading and unloading trailers, performing picking and packing duties, and participating in team activities.

Responsibilities

• Pack, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
• Ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
• Help train dock employees on new procedures.
• Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties.
• Check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards.
• Participate in workgroup and other team activities.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Intermediate ability to operate and maintain powered industrial trucks, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
• Intermediate ability to operate and maintain manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into the WMS computer system (s).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
• Multi-tasking and highly organized.

Skills

• Intermediate ability to operate and maintain powered industrial trucks, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
• Intermediate ability to operate and maintain manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $19.50 per hour.
