About the role

Ryder is seeking a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associate in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This position involves operating various types of warehouse equipment including forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and order pickers.

Responsibilities

  • Pack, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
  • Ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
  • Help train dock employees on new procedures.
  • Ensure facility is secure at the end of the shift; investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping concerns.
  • Perform picking and packing duties.
  • Check for evidence of product or container damage.
  • Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location’s policies and procedures.
  • Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions.
  • Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of related warehouse experience.
  • Intermediate ability to operate and maintain powered industrial trucks, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and change batteries.
  • May be required to operate manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment.
  • Intermediate ability to input data into the WMS computer system.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-drive to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.

Qualifications

Pay

Hourly pay rate of $19.50 per hour.

Schedule

Pay weekly.
