ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspects pulled products from inventory to check accuracy against the picking ticket, and to determine categories of products (hazardous, refrigerated, etc.).
- Packs merchandise according to packing and shipping standards and procedures.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocates orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Reads shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
- Maintains financial models, templates and databases to support executive decision making.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to guidelines.
- Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for traffic.
- Affords assistance in shipping and receiving unloading & loading trucks.
- Sweeps, dusts, and mops.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education And/Or Experience: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
- Competencies (skills And Abilities): Must be a team player, work well under limited supervision, maintain professional boundaries & confidentiality, communicate effectively, organize tasks, manage mathematical skills, possess technical capacity, ensure thoroughness, and manage time.
- Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must be able to reach overhead, climb ladders or stairs, lift/carry or push/pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.), move freely about, and be able to sit or stand for long periods of time (up to 2 hours).
