Responsibilities

  • Order Picking (30%): Review regular orders (paper) and Pick Lists (RF Gen), pick materials using a forklift throughout the warehouse, and assemble orders in a staging lane. Verify the accuracy and completeness of orders picked by co-workers before shipping.
  • Order Loading/Un-Loading (30%): Assist with loading completed orders onto trucks, delivery carriers, or customer pickups. Unload orders from LTL carriers and trucks, perform receiving duties, and ensure items match purchase orders. Resolve discrepancies with procurement and accounts payable. Work with Customer Service and QC to process RMAs and carrier returns. Maintain a clean and organized return area.
  • Mentorship & Training (10%): Train new employees on proper order picking, item location, and adherence to safety and housekeeping protocols. Provide ongoing support and act as an escalation point.
  • Put Aways (5%): Move products from staging areas to appropriate pick locations in the warehouse. Enter products into inventory using an RF Gen Gun and computer.
  • Inventory Audit (5%): Assist in annual inventory audits, perform product counts, and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Forklift Inspections (5%): Conduct pre-shift and post-shift forklift inspections to ensure proper maintenance and escalate necessary repairs.
  • Housekeeping (5%): Maintain clean aisles and rack locations by removing debris and empty pallets.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of warehouse experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret directions and order details.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and RF Gen Gun safely.

Physical Requirements

  • Must pass a pre-employment physical.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Push/Pull: Ability to push/pull 50 pounds.
  • Standing: Ability to stand for 80% of the day.
  • Sitting: Ability to sit for 20% of the day.
  • Twisting/Bending: Ability to twist/bend for 50% of the day.
  • Squatting/Climbing/Crawling: Ability to squat, climb, or crawl for 20% of the day.
