Warehouse Associate I

About the role

Primarily responsible for replenishing, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders through accurate verification and completion of paperwork and materials management. Performs proper inventory maintenance activities through quality control steps and adherence to warehouse procedures. Safely operates material handling equipment and maintains a safe and clean warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
• Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner; promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
• Executes standard procedures for all assigned duties.
• Properly reads and executes parts tickets and packaging instructions and recognizes the distinction between products.
• Uses scanner equipment to scan material into inventory and onto shipment.
• Understands inventory processes, warehouse locations, and bin layouts.
• Pulls parts in a timely and efficient manner.
• Works safely and follows all BMC safety policies when performing job tasks; recognizes safety concerns in the shipping/receiving area.
• Operates forklifts to transfer finished products and secure products for shipment as required or directed.
• Inspects forklift daily prior to operation and requests preventative maintenance as required.
• Keeps the assigned area clean and organized.
• Works as a member of a team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 1 year’s warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous RF Scanners, WM’s, and VLM’s RF experience preferred.
• Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to set priorities, professionally manage stress, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player, enthusiastic, hardworking with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to represent Blanchard Machinery while interacting with customers.
• Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency and exceed customer expectations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, detailed-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Works both inside (non-climate controlled) and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
• Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
• Requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
• Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.

Schedule

8-hour shifts, 3 days per week, averaging 24 hours per week with flexibility.
