Responsibilities
- Uses power industrial equipment to load and unload, move or stack materials or products
- Operates manual or electric carts in order to fill orders
- From the receiving area, scan and count items and load on cart
- Stock items appropriately by location and quantity
- Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves
- Check off merchandise as received
- Correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet
- Aid in pulling parts during busy times
- Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders
- Perform miscellaneous projects and other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience operating power industrial equipment
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
- Understand map locations
- Sort by alpha or numeric
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- Time management skills
- Able to work well under pressure
- Able to work well with other staff members and supervisors
- Able to work various shifts and over time
- Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
- Maintain and promote workplace safety
